Fear

Fear is at times quite near, one never knowing just when next it might appear, lying just below the surfaces there.

Fear passes no one by, it is freely shared with all who stray upon shrouded shadows, those images concealed just beyond one's sight on paths traveled day or night.

Striking with might, powerful forces unleashed to deaden the stride, stopping now the forward ride, fear begins to rule in temporal time.

Chilling the soul to inner sanctum,

those with energy found must call the alarm, settle the spirit, take command and charge the dread, fear now threatening advance to ethereal time.

Leaving behind chaos, clutter and confusion, incipient fear strikes hard to the core, with  wakes of emotional despair, scenes of destruction, and feelings of scorn,  it's duty now done, moving on in costumed phantom disguise, sneaking in silence upon unsuspecting souls, the terror of fear has stolen away on  dawns first light, carrying disorder and desolation to other places unprepared, its afflictions to adorn.

As quiet descends upon the space where fear has passed, tranquillity finds the pathway clear, replacing horror once left there among the twisted, torn wreckage now strewn down on ground.

Now released to seek anew,

the soul is freed...finding calming harmony where once it stood.
