Heart and Soul
There are friends with such heart and soul, with bounds untold, they rise to soothe the weary soul giving hope where despair resides and restoring faith where it was cast aside.

These friends seek no acclaim, ask no favor but grant a deep and soulful tie. Where others pass you by with a projective swill of boorish blame, such friends stand, extend an open hand, offer comfort and support without ask, plead or cajole, freely giving of heart and soul.

Friends of heart and soul, standing where others step aside, lend a comforting hand when times are dark and quite stark giving strength to stay the way, and in presence of sorrow strong, they wipe away the blinding tears giving sight to future's hopeful view.

When joy is found and successes arrive, these friends, in voices of quieted and silent sounds, are there in shadowed place, just beyond the view, giving approving glances, the honors and pride are theirs to proudly share.

Friends of heart and soul seek not  weakness to reveal, use or abuse, but find in you hidden strengths to nurture and to grow, free of envy and ill will, they lend their spirited soul so you too might soar where they do go.

These friends exist for not just a glimpse, but stay through the dawning twilight day, to ride the cresting waves, wade the shallow shoals and sail the calming tides of life's way with you, standing quietly by the wayside, unnoticed till time calls them to the fore, their heart and soul then given in such care.

Friends of heart and soul are there to touch your very soul no matter the course you've traveled on, neither asking for your essence nor your inner core, but through their presence, struggles can be dared, lessons learned, and joys and triumphs shared.

Friends of heart and soul, so difficult to capture in sum and whole, so hard to define or describe by role...so I am not just sure how to end this written word, except to say," I am so glad I have such friends as you...those of heart and soul."
