I am glad I had the chance

You know, I am so glad I had the chance to know you. Tonite I think about you and know that life has

changed since...I had that chance to know you.

No you didn't bring riches to be counted, nor things to be seen, or objects to be  coveted. But still....I am glad I had the chance to know you.

You brought a smile a time or two, and a spirit of "can do" was always there to.

To forge ahead was the thing to do, you always said or, at least it seemed that way to me more than a time or two. Oh,  yes...I am glad I had the chance

to know you.

You scoffed at those who said it could not be done,

and then went ahead to prove them wrong. There were mountains to climb,

roads to conquer, and miles upon miles to go before you found the end.

But along the way,  before the end  became so clear, I am glad...I had the chance to know you

While on your way you did a lot. Oh not so much, as in Camelot, but in meaning beyond that you did amount to more then most could count. And me, well, I am glad I had the chance to meet you   along that way, where pride now stays for I am glad I had

the chance...to know you along life's way.

In early times you found the niche you sought, and from it pushed till you got

what most never find as

they struggle to define the grand design. But, I am so glad that I had the chance

to know you ...as you passed along the way.

Oh, yes, I am so glad

that I had the chance to know you. As along the way many years ago

we by fate did meet, and friendship grew that others can not seek.

Some are blind, some will not take the time, and others look in vain, but can not bind in brotherhood as a long the path we found our way.

 AND

on that day not so long ago I am so glad I had

the chance... to know...

you.
