The Cat and the Sand Dollar
I spied a lady along the seashore,
she walked with a cat after a long
nap!
They would walk or sometimes skip
along, stopping here and there to sniff
the air or scratch in the seashore sand,
this lady and her cat.
Finding things of natures call, they
explored it all. Birds from seas afar
away, grasses, blooming puffs of flowers,
and strange other things were found along
the course ways taken on any a sunny
summer day. This lady and her cat collected
them all to store away for a cloudy
day.
One day the cat stopped in the tracks
now so familiar along the way. A new
object obscuring the old and worn route
now lay in the way! With a cry of dismay
and a leap so high, the cat almost
bounded away.
"But wait", said the kind lady to her now
fraidy kitty cat, "you've just found the lucky
sand dollar!""Now we will live happily ever
after in our sand castle upon the seashore"!
So the moral to this little ditty, is never ignore
a kind lady and her cat who take a walk on the
sunny seashore sands.....they own a castle not
far from there!!
