Sing A Song
Sing a song of destiny, sing it
upon the harp where in sweet
sound it can be heard.
Sing a song of love, sing it
from a lovers cry so in soulful
harmony it can touch.
Sing a song of sorrow, sing it
without joy so that in sadness
it can be understood.
Sing a song of happiness, sing it
with the soaring sounds of a
chorus strong and
it will be heard.
Sing a song of lament, sing it
upon the drum where in pounding
thump it can be felt and
still be heard.
Sing a song of times now gone,
but sing it in celebration to those
who have crossed your way, their
spirit to guide the journeys to
take in future days.
Sing a song of hope, sing it with a
fervent shout letting all who hear
know you care and
you are there.
Sing a song of life, sing it upon
a tablet strong and it shall stay
the course for those who have
lost their way.
No one can promise these things
you do to bring about not cares or
woes, but surely these simple
tasks to sing aloud for all to hear
can bring contentment and some
peace for all
to share.
