Time Will Tell
This is the time that does try
a man's soul, what is happening
is much for a man not so old.
I laid the works, built the
foundation, raised the walls,
and now the top is about on.
Oh, I saw it coming but, nay,
I did not prevent the fate that
stood in destiny, those works
so shaky, the foundation of
sand, and walls of rotten wood,
all to fall, falter and fail in one
moment of given time.
And yes, I cannot deny mea culpa,
I claim it all, for what is gain made
to pass it all, none but further
discourse to stand in progress way.
"So now what is left", I ask of me,
"why only that which can be done",
comes the answer back, “solve the
riddle, pierce the problem, obtain
the solution, pick up and move on."
Here I am telling you this, and
thinking what should I say next,
an expeditious conclusion will not
suffice to honor the soul, or give
due to rational man. So I shall
search awhile, clatter around a bit,
rattle the matter, and find
the answer, I bet!
Well, you aren’t so lucky, my
musings have not paid off,
not yet...but give it a little more time,
come back, visit once again,
if you dare, but you may not find
me here, I shall be out looking
for "every thing works out for the best,
just give it a little time!
“Ah yes, only time will tell!”
